Second Chances - Costa Rica past, present and future - Black in Costa Rica

I received this invitation below from Lucett Watler. I really wish we were going to be in Costa Rica so that we could attend this special event featuring Dr Sherman Thomas this coming Sunday.
Expats and friends are invited to attend the event hosted by Jeanetta Owens.

We’re having an open forum with Dr. Sherman Thomas at 2pm on April 19, 2015. It will be held at La Terraza B&B (Jeanetta Owen) and ice cream will be served.
Dr. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Costa Rica, has a Masters of Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in the U.S. and a PhD in the Philosophy of Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. He is a Professor Emeritus for the University of Costa Rica.
Dr. Thomas was born in San Jose, Costa Rica , but his family heritage is from Jamaica. His interest is in helping us bridge the gap between the Costa Rican community and the ex-pat community. He will be speaking on the past, present, and future plans of our host country. You will have the opportunity to question him on the difficulties you may have experienced here being an ex-pat.
Costa Rica will be a major player in any future development in Central America. We can all benefit from understanding how this will affect us as business owners and ex-pats
This free seminar is being made available to us by our hostess Jeanetta Owen at her lovely B&B, La Terrazza. If you need directions, please go to her site:http://www.laterrazab-b.com or call her at 2494 0970. Jeanetta would appreciate an RSVP but it is not required. Don’t come alone --- bring a friend!
