Q. What's so intriguing about an elegant pop up dinner party?
A. It's all about the adventure!!
The guests eat in splendor at a location they learn about only minutes before they arrive. They are told to wear comfortable shoes and meet up with their team leader who says,"follow me," They have no idea where they are going.
At the event thousands of attendees wave white napkins to signal the beginning of the event.

Diner en Blanc started 25 years ago, when Francois Pasquier's father, decided to hold a dinner party in the Bois de Bologne, a
large public square in Paris. Since some guests were bringing along friends, he
asked everyone to wear white so they would be able to spot each other easily.
Today the event has become a tradition, taking in more than 50 cities and 20 countries and has been embraced by more than 100,000 gourmets around the world. And....For the first time -- this global phenomenon and coveted event "secret"
Dîner en Blanc
was held in
San Jose, Costa Rica
on March 21, 2015.
The New York Times explains: "There are days and there are picnic PICNIC days". This chic picnic is equally Mystery Tour, pop-up show and je ne sais quoi!
Dîner en
Blanc Paris now meets every year about 15,000 people in the most prestigious
places in the world. Although the technology behind the event may have changed over the years, the
principles and values that fuel this fantastic event remain the same: the
guests continue to meet at a secret location with the sole purpose of sharing
with friends in one of the most beautiful areas of the city.
"We feel that Costa Rica is prepared to receive such a
sophisticated event since recent years have seen an increased interest for the
good life, and the opportunity to offer something different and exciting for
our market and friends" Laura Miranda says, co-host Dîner en Blanc San
Jose, Costa Rica. Laura hopes to make this first edition a success that marks
the beginning of a long tradition.
