Sorry for the short absence. We have been super busy. I completed my portion of the webinar for Black Women Thriving Abroad and....It's finally the "high" season (dry season) in Costa Rica so we are beginning to have guests and visitors here.
A couple of weeks ago, my sister in law and my niece stopped in for a quick 4 day visit. They were our FIRST official visitors from back home. It was such a short visit, they had no time to venture too far, and so were unable to see most of the main attractions here, but they did get the opportunity to see Poas Volcano (it was a very clear day) and the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. We also took a short ride over to Sarchi to check out the oxcart factory.
Today there are two factories in Sarchi that you can visit to see how oxcarts were traditionally made and painted. Both Fabrica de Carretas Joaquin Chaverri and Fabrica de Carretas Eloy Alfaro offer daily demonstrations where you can get a closer look. We recently visited Fabrica de Carretas Eloy Alfaro (above).
