The Oceano is actually a luxury condo-hotel.
this is the sales table - you can still purchase one for your very own!
Our rate of $120/per night was excellent as it also included breakfast. Keep in mind that this is also the low/rainy season so prices are much lower than in the high season.
We chose a 1 bedroom suite/condo with 2 balconies (one balcony had a plunge pool). The only complaint I had was that there are only four of these rooms and they are all stacked on top of each other in one corner of the building facing the street (which isn't the best view). Of course I didn't know this when I booked the room. The hotel figured, when they were in the process of building, that the view would probably discourage people and make it harder to book these suites, so they sweetened the deal with the plunge pool. It was raining when we were there so we never used the pool. Other than that, I have no complaints! Next time I will select a room on the interior which faces the pool.
The hotel has restaurant and a small art museum attached. It is very close to the main drag (which we walked in about 10 minutes). A taxi in Jaco will not cost more than $4 to go anywhere in town.
I give the Oceano Boutique Hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐
